Today mark the day whereby my mother in law will be admitted to the hospital for her spinal operation. She need a walking aid to walk and her spinal problems have greatly affected the way she walk which comes along with pains/cramps....
At least she have finally agreed to go for the operation but of course we cannot expect a 100% recovery rate but the main core is to reduce her pain plus she can walk better too... ;)
Shall look forward to her being discharge from the hospital.
Anyway today i wake Leshay earlier than her usual time so you can see she have that stony look LOL... But whenever she have her stinky she is mostly fine...plus she love food LOL....
Give her food and she be as happy as she can be...
We left the hospital in the afternoon once my mother in law was being assisted to the operating theatre. Procedures will take about 5 hours including observation time.
We went for lunch at Tiong Bahru market and head home to rest. Tired Leshay finally succumb to the sleep devil hehe...and took a nap in the car...
We were thinking since she had her nap why not just head over to Jurong Point for a walk before fetching Bryston home...
Let Leshay run loose and she have that "FREEDOM" look ... LOL Super duper happy girl...
Know where she is heading to??
This!!! Balloons and she wants them really badly LOL.... Amore had this display out sort of like a pillar and it attracted her attention...
Anyway we went to NTUC Xtra and it happens that they are giving out balloons LOL...Eventually she got one and she is happy...
So what have you been giving your young toddler/babies at weaning stage for breakfast?? Instead of the Nestle rice cereal which can be mixed with breast milk/water , have you consider baby oats??
Leshay was not really interested with the Nestle rice cereal anymore so i have been thinking for a long time if i should buy baby oats.
I'm not really a fan of oats and i don't eat them. But i was thinking how great it would be if Leshay takes them!!! Healthy food right???
Extract some information from Wholesomebabyfood website with regards to the health facts of oats.
Oats - usually known as oatmeal or porridge once prepared - are one of the most nutritious grain cereals
you can buy.
Unlike many other grains, which undergo extensive and damaging processing before they reach store shelves,
oats are always whole, irrespective of whether they are steel cut, rolled, quick cooking or instant.
This means they retain all the goodness contained in the germ, endosperm and bran... and that's a lot of goodness!
Oats are an excellent source of soluble fibre, protein and the B vitamins thiamin, riboflavin and B6.
They also provide iron,
calcium, magnesium, selenium and phosphorus.
It's a good idea to get your children to enjoy oats from an early age, as they play a very important role
in good health throughout adulthood too.
Regularly eating oats...
- Lowers the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes
- Helps guard against cancer
- Reduces the symptoms of asthma
- Lowers cholesterol and aids in the prevention of heart disease
- Boosts the body's immune system
This is the one i got from NTUC Xtra,if i'm not wrong i got it at $3.70. Better not trust my memory though however they are definitely cheaper than Nestle ( those that are mixed with water)
So what i do is i take 2 tablespoon of baby oat and add cold water to it. (Water level i never measure however it's enough that the babyoats are all covered in the water) They cooked fast probably like within 5 minutes, once done i will stir in one scoop of formula into it to mix together.
So far i have add various fruits to eat and cook it together with it so that it can be soft. They are apples and blueberries. I'm going to try banana soon hehe...
I'm so glad that the first time i gave it to Leshay, she was looking at it with ?? because she have not seen food serve like this before. ;))
After the first mouthful, she was asking for more... So glad that i have this for her breakfast...
